Goodbye April Hello May

Mr. April: Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees. Rodriguez tied for the Major League record with 14 homers in April. Rodriguez, who leads the Major Leagues in both home runs and RBIs with 34, wrapped his historic month by batting .355. He equaled the 14 home runs hit by St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, who accomplished the feat last April. Rodriguez finished one RBI shy of Juan Gonzalez's Major League record for most RBIs hit in April, set in 1998 with the Texas Rangers.

May pick to click: Joe Mauer, Minnesota Twins. The AL batting champ hit .369 in April, fifth best in baseball, and look for Mauer to continue that torrid hitting in May, traditionally Mauer's best month (career .355 average, including .386 last season). The May schedule also includes several opponents the catcher has fared well against in the past, including Tampa Bay (.415 career average against), the Chicago White Sox (.300), Detroit (.348) and Milwaukee (.327).

The car is belong to Mercedes Benz F1 Team. It's call Mp4-21. Now Mercedes Benz leads every team such as Ferrari ,BMW . I have not seen the race after I graguated from junior high school.
At that time, Ferrari was the King of the race. But after M.Schumacher retired, Ferrari never get the first place. I was so sad.

Clemens to make Triple-A start Monday

Roger Clemens will make a third and likely final Minor League start as he works toward duty in the Yankees rotation, tuning up on Monday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Clemens will be supervised every step of the way by Yankees executives Billy Connors and Gene Michael, who will accompany Clemens to PNC Field in Moosic, Pa., for the start.

Following the start for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the seven-time Cy Young Award winner would have his fifth day align for Saturday against the Red Sox, a start that is presently lined up for Mike Mussina.

We'll just take it one start at a time, and we'll evaluate him after that," Cashman said. "We want him when he's ready, and it's our job obviously to determine that. I do believe he's going in the right direction."

Manager Joe Torre did not want to shy away from the idea of having Clemens pitch at Boston, but said that it was not necessary for Clemens to make his re-entry in such a dramatic fashion.

Ichiro, Felix overwhelm Royals in win

Today, let me interduce a famous baseball player,Ichiro Suzuki ,who is really good at hitting.Ichiro hiked his average to .339 and is hitting .443 in his streak yesterday. "Nothing out of the ordinary," Hargrove said of Ichiro. "He's just real productive right now. He's just a very special hitter, and right now he's got it going in that direction, so his at-bats are nice. He's just Ichiro."

Homework

What a good day? On the top of the picture, there are clouds over the mountain. Under the clouds, mountains are decorated by many trees and flowers. Lake is around the mountains, and the reflection is in the lake. There are some handrails between the lake and the land. On the land are covered a lot of tiles. On the left side, there is a person sitting on the black chair. That guy wears a green jacket, brown pants and black shoes. He or she uses a umbrella to avoid sunlight, so we can’t differentiate the person is a man or a woman. The person draws a painting .Under the chair , there are some tools that is about painting. There is a water bag near the person’s legs. The tool box is on the right side of the water bag. There are some colorings in the tool box. The plastics board which use to mix color is on the left side of the water bag. There are a lot of pens next to the plastic board. Hope the people can make a good painting.

Today Andy,Natalie and I desided to see the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End".
I like Jonny Depp very much.

After Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), Will (Orlando Bloom), and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) rescue Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from the clutches of the Kraken, they must face their foes, Davey Jones (Bill Nighy) and Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander). Beckett, now with control of Jones' heart, forms a dark alliance with him in order to rule the seas and wipe out the last of the Pirates. Now, Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Delma, and crew must call the Pirate Lords from the four corners of the globe, including the infamous Sao Feng (Chow-Yun Fat), to a gathering that will make their final stand against Beckett, Jones, Norrington, the Flying Dutchman, and the entire East India Trading Company.
In this movie, there is a fantastic sea war between Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow . You won't want to miss the war at Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman.
What are you waiting for? Go to the theater!!!

Wang pulls Yanks closer to Red Sox

Alex Rodriguez clubbed his Major League-leading 18th home run, Jason Giambi homered, Johnny Damon had three hits and Robinson Cano added a two-run triple to blast the Yankees past Boston and starter Tim Wakefield.

Wang made one start against the Red Sox earlier this season, an April 29 effort at Yankee Stadium, and came away dissatisfied concerning how the potent lineup had pounced on him for four runs in six innings.

Thus, the plan was hatched to soften things up the second time around. With catcher Jorge Posada calling the shots in a renewed approach, Wang discovered that he could work around the sinker, retiring the leadoff batter in each of the seven innings he started. Lesson learned.

Giving the Red Sox a new look for a night was one thing for Wang, who held the offensive output to two runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings, striking out five. But anyone expecting Wang to completely abandon his bowling ball-esque sinker -- as Guidry is fond of comparing it -- may have a long wait in store.

Hughes flirts with no-no bittersweet victory

Rookie Phil Hughes was going to throw a no-hitter on Tuesday. The 20-year old who was tabbed only a few hours earlier by his general manager as a work in progress -- the top pitching prospect but furthest thing from the pitching staff's savior -- was going to really do it.
He was about to become everything the Yankees hoped for but were afraid to say in public just yet. He was on his way to becoming a bedtime story for Little Leaguers in the Bronx. A nickname was just around the corner.
Then his left hamstring finished the story 2 1/3 innings before he could, leaving the Yankees on the winning side of a 10-1 romp against the Rangers but feeling like the real losers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Hughes, a young man who was on his way to fame after throwing 6 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball in his second big-league start against the Rangers, is now on his way to the disabled list. Yankees manager Joe Torre estimates that the phenom will miss 4-6 weeks.
"We didn't talk about it, but everybody couldn't wait for him to get out there again," Torre said. "We seemed to have a lot more energy tonight. Whether it was the spark from the way he was going about his business or [that] the players feel good about themselves, whatever it was, it worked for us."
As good as Hughes was, the Yankees hitters were almost better.
